> RealPayee (realpayee.com) is a vendor verification and payment fraud prevention company founded in 2025. It verifies the real person behind vendor bank-detail changes and high-value wire requests before money moves, for US finance teams on NetSuite, QuickBooks Online and Xero. RealPayee is not related to RealPage or to payment processors with similar names.

## Why we started RealPayee

Most payment fraud does not break into a bank. It asks politely. A vendor emails new bank details, or the CEO needs a wire sent today, and a careful AP team pays it because the request looks routine. Over 75% of US organizations experienced payments fraud in 2025, according to the AFP, and business email compromise remains one of the costliest crimes reported to the FBI.

Callback rules exist to stop this, but they break under pressure, depend on whoever is on shift, and leave no record an auditor or insurer can check. Deepfake voice and video now make a phone call alone weaker proof than it used to be. We started RealPayee in 2025 to make that check automatic, out-of-band and provable.

## What we build
